Due to our successful sales campaign we are taking on a significant amount of new work and we now have a new opportunity for an experienced Website Developer.
The right candidate will possess a structured approach to programming, together with experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams with designers, account managers and other team members.
You'll have three or more years experience working in a commercial environment, with at least two years experience developing in PHP / MySQL (preferably PHP5).
You'll most likely be degree-qualified. More importantly you’ll be able to demonstrate the right approach: a team worker, confident with clients and other external organisations, you’ll be self-motivated, always learning (and keen to share knowledge and ideas with the rest of the team) and will enjoy new challenges.
We'll be looking for the following skills:
Essential
- Experienced with PHP (preferably PHP5) and knowledge of OO techniques
- Both practical and theoretical experience of MySQL
- XHTML and CSS – both to a high standard
- Knowledge of design patterns
- Understanding of development and project life cycles
- JavaScript toolkit and AJAX
- XSL, XML and XSLT
It would be a bonus if you have any Linux systems administration experience, but it certainly isn't essential.
